Obi (meaning heart) is one of the 9 pups born into HART's (Highland Animal Relief Team) care last month.

Obi's mom (Clarice) and 3 others were dumped over the fence at the local pound. Malnourished, filthy, and pregnant she was in very poor shape. She and her siblings were brought into the care of HART and placed into loving foster homes. They all received treatment for parasites, fleas, and were shaved down and cleaned up, given proper nutrition and all except Clarice have now been adopted into loving forever homes.

Clarice whelped 9 pups on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and will be staying with her foster mom a little while longer. The pups will be posted up for adoption soon, and avaialble in mid December once they are old enough to be placed into their forever homes.

HART's website can be viewed at [link] Donations for the care of dogs such as Obi can be made through that site

Oh, how I wish I lived there and could get this puppy.... he's so beautiful!!
I'm glad there are institutions like that... at least there are some people that still cares and works for the abandoned ones!

As always this picture is stunning. I'm completely in love with this puppy. -hugs it- It makes me want to adopt it (though adopting another dog would probably give my older dog Velvet a heart attack. She doesn't like new family members. Nova's quite the handful already).

I hope it finds a home! It's adorable!

If only I could adopt big, furry dogs. ;) My allergies don't allow it. An adorable pup and a great organization. Great job publicizing such a worthy cause. Gorgeous photo, as always.

Adventures are funny things, and they always begin with the unexpected. But the best adventures of all are the ones that never end.--unknown

that's TOO cute! X_X

We are not sure of the breed. Mom appears to be a schnauzer/poodle mix - and the pups appear to be from multiple sires - some seem to have husky perhaps. When they are a bit older it will be easier to tell.
